PRIVATISATION

Initiated in 1986, the policy of state diverstiture from public and semi-public corporations led to the creation of the public corporations rehabilitation authority. The decree of 29 March 1995 to reorganize the authority set up a Technical Privatization and liquidation Commission and an Interministerial Committee.
The commission examines files, the Interministerial Committee makes proposals and the President of the Republic takes the final decision.

As provided under article 4 of the ordinance of 22 June 1990, corporations to be privatized are subject to:

  • Preparatory measures, where necessary;
